Bob Nervig and Don Pecos de Cheval

After a horse related accident and diagnosis with Myasthenia Gravis, an autoimmune disorder that weakens muscles, Bob Nervig did not think he would ever return to working with horses, let alone competeting at the prestigious 2009 Villa Louis Carriage Classic in Prairie du Chien, WI after only five months of carriage instruction with Michelle Blackler.

He says it really was a dose of 'serendipity' that got him on the box seat again.

Carriage Driving Lessons

Serendipity is proud to offer carriage driving instruction and carriage horse training, as one of the premiere driving barns in Iowa. Under the direction of Michelle Blackler, Serendipity's clients have excelled in the sport of carriage driving, many winning Championship titles in their first year of showing. Horses trained by Serendipity are stars of the show ring most often described as having hooves that hardly touch the ground.

Serendipity introduces training techniques such as body awareness, equine empathy and spatial relationships to the driver to optimize communication between the driver and the horse.
