Lessons at Serendipity follow the guidelines of classical riding and driving.  We believe that horsemanship is an art form; that the horse and rider or whip [driver of a horse drawn vehicle] should work together as one unit of movement and in total partnership.  We teach balanced seat riding in English or Western styles and carriage driving for children and adults, from beginners to advanced levels of horsemanship.  We choose only excellent lesson horses and ponies, because we recognize their value as teachers.

Serendipity is proud to offer riding for the disabled.  Our practices are closely in line with Riding for the Disabled Association of Great Britain and North American Riding for the Handicapped Association.  We do not use the term therapeutic riding to describe this service because riding is therapeutic even if you are not in possession of a disability.  Serendipity uses specially trained therapy horses and volunteers for clients with special needs.  Please call Michelle Blackler to set up an interview so a course of riding can be designed for the individual with special needs.
